Running Strong Campaigns in Every District

Senator Karen Berg is a practicing Diagnostic Radiologist with over 30 years of experience, but in 2017, she semi-retired from medical practice and decided to focus on her political career. Born and raised in Kentucky, Berg initially planned to pursue a career in law or politics but was inspired to enter the medical field by her esteemed surgeon father and lawyer/nurse mother. Her lifelong dedication to education and service is reflected in her platform, which focuses on improving access to education, affordable healthcare, and economic opportunity for all.

When a Republican Senator in the 26th District suddenly announced his retirement, MFStrategies was recruited by the Berg campaign to help Dr. Berg run in the June 2020 special election. Over a 2-month period, our team worked tirelessly to fundraise and build support in a district that had been held by the GOP for 25 years. Thanks to our strategic approach, we were able to raise nearly $200,000 and help the campaign flip the seat from red to blue for the first time in decades.

Our team's fundraising efforts, combined with Dr. Berg's strong platform and dedication to public service, resonated with voters in the district. The campaign's success was a testament to the power of running strong campaigns in every district, regardless of how long the odds may seem.
