Make an impact. Lead by example.

The campaign industry burns through talented staff because we incentivize over-working. As a result, passionate professionals will move on to other endeavors rather than continuing to help elect the best leaders, and that is a loss for everyone. We set out from Day 1 to do things differently; to do things better.

We don’t just focus on getting the job done, but how that job gets done. Striving to foster a healthy environment where staff can maintain a work-life balance, even during the chaos of an election, means we’re able to produce a better end-product for clients because our team can build fulfilling lives outside the office.

Here is an idea of what we offer our employees:

  • Competitive pay and bonus structure
Everyone’s time and effort is valuable so we make sure our staff is paid well for all the amazing work they do. Additionally we offer bonuses so that when the company does better, everyone does better.

  • 40 hour work weeks
Campaigners have this idea that good work can only be done by sitting at your desk for 12 hours a day, even if 6 of those hours are spent socializing or on Facebook. Rather than trying to outlast each other, we go home to get some actual rest. The work we do the next day is better for it.

  • Work from where you want
MFStrategies is a completely remote company with employees working where and how they are most comfortable. Formerly based in Harrisburg, PA, we ditched our office in 2017 and have since grown to a team based all over the country.

  • Open PTO policy
Campaign work is exhausting, which is why it is important to take time and recoup every once in a while. As long as everything is getting done, work should move around life — not the other way around.

  • Up to 12 weeks of parental leave paid at 100%
There are more important things than the next campaign and making sure our team members have the time to bond with the newest member of their family is one of those things. We’re proud to offer one of the only paid parental leave policies in the industry, offering primary and secondary caregivers 12 and 8 weeks, respectively, of fully paid leave. New parents may also opt to take an additional 4 weeks unpaid with job security.

  • Paid holidays
Vacations are great even when they’re just spent at home relaxing, and they give us all something to look forward to. We offer a number of paid holidays each year that are announced well ahead of time so everyone has the chance to maximize their hard-earned time off.

How we get the job done right

We’ve published our entire employee manual online so clients, prospective staff, and others in the campaign industry can see how we work here at MFStrategies.

MFStrategies’ founder and principal Marty Santalucia sat down with the REWORK Podcast to talk about how we balance the chaos of campaigns with a better work-life balance.
